Scope and Contents note
Organization for sale of land in Nebraska, 1870-1873, succeeded by the South Platte Land Company. Founders included J. W. Brooks, J. M. Forbes, J. N. Denison, Henry Strong, J. W. Ames, C. E. Perkins, A. M. Ghost, Thomas Doane, G. S. Harris, A. E. Touzalin, and W. B. Strong. Series contains articles of incorporation of the South Platte Land Company and letters between C. E. Perkins, J. W. Brooks and others concerning the transfer of property from the Eastern Land Association to the South Platte Land Company. Also includes a few memos and a list of company stockholders.
