Correspondence with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, regarding Budd's resignation as Transportation Commissioner, U.S. Office of Defense Transportation. Budd recommended Joseph B. Eastman, the chairman of the Interstate Commerce Commission, and President Roosevelt appointed Eastman immediately after Budd's recommendation. Also includes correspondence with CB&Q historian Richard C. Overton.
