Ravel, Maurice: composer (Pro-Musica; La Chorale Francaise; Carpenter, John Alden), Jan. 19, 1928

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 6
Identifier: 4

Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

Planning and publicity files for musical performances held at the Club and/or sponsored by the Club. Files include announcements of performances, negotiations for fees and dates from artists and artists’ representatives, correspondence with artists and representatives, artist contracts, programs, program drafts, clippings, reviews, publicity brochures about the artist, and letters to newspaper reviewers publicizing the concerts.

Names in parentheses after the folder titles indicate prominent correspondents; names in parentheses after "re:" indicate that the correspondence is about, not by, that particular person. Some names, such as Arts Club Music Committee members and staff (Mrs. Livingston (Miriam) Fairbank, John Palmer, Isabel Jarvis, M.J. Magnusson, Felix Borowski, Claire Dux Swift, Rue W. Shaw, Chiye Tomihiro, Pat Scheidt) are such frequent correspondents that they are not noted every time they appear in the file.

Photographs of the artists (mostly publicity shots from the artist's agency) were removed to the Audiovisual Series, Photographs - Artists and Artworks section.
