Contains tapes, film reels, video cassette tapes, and both regular and miniature audio cassette tapes. Among them are materials relating to family history, family events (marriages, funerals), funeral home business anniversaries and history, prominent funerals (both domestic and abroad), community events, and Civil War activities. Of note are the funeral materials for the first black U.S. astronaut Robert Lawrence, Jr., Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammad, Liberian Consul William H. Jones, Olympic star Jesse Owens, and jazz musician Count Basie. Audiovisual materials have not been digitized and are unavailable for use.
