Series 1: Early Christian symbols, 2000-2001
Scope and Contents note
This series contains 179 rubbings from 153 stones in several repositories of Early Christian inscriptions. Most contain birds and/or other symbols such as the Chi-Rho (XP). In each entry the box and folder number are followed by a serial number, then the location and subject of the original stone. A decimal serial number indicates that a second or third rubbing is present, made from the same stone.
