Scope and Contents note

The artwork includes: 5 watercolor and ink drawings by Charles Doyle; a watercolor by John Doyle; 4 watercolor and ink drawings, by Richard (“Dickie”) Doyle, as well as his illustrations for Scenes from English History with texts in facsimile of the hand of Thackeray. Also, an original illustration by Sidney Paget for The Tragedy of Korosko, and 2 illustrations that appeared in Collier’s magazine, one with a story by Adrian Doyle and John Dickson Carr published in 1953. Also, a pencil drawing by Horace Vernet.
