Scope and Content of the Collection

Ephemera collection related to the college and music career of soprano Maude Maury Lawrence. Over 50 pieces from Lawrence and her concert company, spanning her Knox Conservatory of Music graduation in 1913 through entertaining troops in World War I and her traveling troupe after the war.

Includes correspondence, travel itineraries and ephemera, programs, state fair passes, tickets, and business cards. Correspondence and ephemera document her performances at events such as state and county fairs and military entertainment in Panama and the continental United States. Items are described by type of material, topic, or by the agency with which Lawrence corresponded.
