Scope and Content of the Collection

From the Collection:

Railroad timetables, guides, advertising material, and other railroad ephemera documenting over a century of railroad travel and tourism. Geographic coverage includes much of the United States with emphasis on Chicago related railroads, and some items from Canada, Mexico, England, and Switzerland. Railroads with the most material include Chicago and Northwestern; Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific; Rock Island Lines; The Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway; and Union Pacific Railroad. Also includes railway and street guides.
