Series 41: Library-Trustee Business Correspondence, 1925-1966
Scope and Contents
Routine incoming and outgoing correspondence between the Board of Trustees, the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, and the Financial Agent (later Comptroller). Correspondence concerns meeting notifications, minutes approvals, authorizations for stock, bond, and real property transactions, new trustee recommendations, and other Trustee business. There is significant correspondence with Edward E. Brown (1934-1954), Everett D. Graff (1948-1966), and Alfred E. Hamill (1928-1953).

Unprocessed records are available by appointment only. Advance notice is necessary, particularly for administrative files, so that files may be screened for personnel records that are removed when records are processed.
Files containing personal or confidential information about individuals (including individual files on members of the Board of Trustees, individual donor files and records reporting the donations of an individual, personnel records, payroll records, and individual accepted fellows files) are closed for 30 years.
