Archives inventory, 1971
Scope and Contents note
The Caxton Club maintained club rooms with a small library until 1933 (though the library was in storage from 1917 to 1924). In 1934, both library and archives went into storage at R.R. Donnelley & Sons. The books were sold in 1960. The archives were transferred to the Newberry Library in 1972, and donated to the library in 1995. The files in this series concern the library collection and its dispersal, and the vicissitudes of the archives.
