Copies of Conroy correspondence, 1930s
Scope and Contents note
A great deal of general correspondence is copies of outgoing letters from Wixson, trying to get in touch with and get information from people in Conroy’s circle who may have more information for Wixson’s research. For substantial correspondence with an individual, see Series 2 – Research and Correspondence Files, arranged alphabetically by individual. There are also compiled photocopies of correspondence of Jack Conroy, incoming and outgoing. Much of this correspondence is duplicates from the Jack Conroy Papers at the Newberry, but were kept since there are also copies of letters from other institutions, to create a more complete run of correspondence. Most of these letters are arranged chronologically, but some are by topic.
