Series contains mostly materials pertaining to Nathan S. Davis, Sr., a renowned physician who founded the American Medical Association, his son, and grandson. Nathan S. Davis Sr.'s correspondence is nearly all incoming from professional colleagues which discuss meetings of the International Medical Conference, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and the American Medical Association itself. Papers of Nathan S. Davis, Jr. include some correspondence, notes, and mementos from a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. The materials of Nathan S. Davis, III, who was married to Cordelia Carpenter, include a small amount of correspondence, published medical articles, and writing and research materials.
