Perrin, Al, n.d.
Scope and Contents note
This series was created by assembling materials from a variety of Mr. Hayes' files. Most of the major correspondents here are other calligraphers, illustrators, and artists, notably Donald Anderson, Rainey Bennett, Father Edward Catich, Heather Child, Rick Cusick, Raymond DaBoll, Fred Eager, Alfred Fairbank, Tim Girvin, Tom Gourdie, Theodore Jung, Egdon Margo, Donald Moy, G. Harvey Petty, Lloyd Reynolds, and Paul Standard. Correspondence relating to clients and to bookplates are to be found in series 3 and 4 respectively; that relating to Mr. Hayes' book the Roman Letter is in series 7. Substantial printed works (mostly broadsides) by these and other calligraphic artists are to be found in series 9. Original manuscripts by these artists from Mr. Hayes's collection have been removed to the cataloged sequence of Wing Manuscripts (see on-line catalog).
