The bulk of this series is made up of photos used in two of Kogan's pictorial history books, The Great Fire: Chicago, 1871 and A Continuing Marvel: the Story of the Museum of Science and Industry. There are also photographs from Traditions and Challenges and his unpublished work on the Pritzker family.
