Scope and Contents note

The Record Book Series consists of two large record books, three smaller notebooks and one unbound notebook. The first of the larger record books includes, among other things, the articles of incorporation and by-laws of A.C. McClurg Company, March 7, 1899. Also contains stockholders’ names, shares held, and meeting minutes. Two of the smaller volumes contain information relating to agreements with authors. The third small volume is one of the only personnel records in the collection and documents salaries for employees at the Book Supply Company, 1906-1907. A larger unbound volume contains data regarding author agreements and publications.
