Scope and Contents note
Contains photostatic copies of magazine stories (Saturday Evening Post and other periodicals), and typescripts of plays, song lyrics, and unpublished musical comedies. Among the play typescripts are "All at Sea", "Beautiful Katie", "Cinderella", "June Moon", "Hurry Kane", "Orpheus in the Underworld", "The Other World", "The Tridget of Greva", and "Women".
Additionally includes works written about Ring Lardner. These include, among others, correspondence pertaining to the Jonathan Yardley and Donald Elder biographies of Lardner. Some graduate theses about Lardner are included. This series also contains scripts of significant television and stage adaptations of popular Lardner works, some of which were written by two of his sons, John Lardner and Ring Lardner Jr.
