Much of this series consists of Stevens' banjo related materials, including correspondence, clippings, and ephemeral items. Correspondence includes letters from well-known banjoists Eddie Peabody and Hank Karch, banjo manufacturer Milt Wolfe, and other prominent banjo enthusiasts, as well as fan letters and criticism concerning Stevens banjo columns.

Other items in this series include biographical interviews and clippings, a small collection of family related materials, publicity and reviews of Stevens' plays, medical and financial documents, memberships, and various other personal items.
