Photocopies of correspondence of James T. Farrell, including three outgoing letters and thirty-eight incoming letters from such notables as Russell Baker, Pearl S. Buck, Hubert H. Humphrey, Lyndon B. Johnson and Adlai E. Stevenson. Also, articles about Farrell and his work, 1946-2004, published reviews of specific works, material of an organization called “Friends of the James T. Farrell Collection,” 1985-1987, some memorabilia including a transcript of a radio interview, 1956, and a collection of obituaries. Half the collection consists of photocopies of a wide variety of works by Farrell, ranging from newspaper columns and magazine articles to speeches and stories, a few with attached memos by Farrell to Father Troy.
