Also includes inscribed photographs, most of writers and actors. Some photographs inscribed using nicknames "Jamie" and "Susie" for James and Susan Bennett.

Biography of James O'Donnell Bennett
Chicago newspaper correspondent and author.
James O'Donnell Bennett was born in Jackson, Michigan in 1870. He was a war correspondent during the Spanish-American War and World War I, dramatic and literary critic of the Chicago Record-Herald, and later on the Tribune,. He was also author of several books, including Much Loved Books: Best Sellers of the Ages. Bennett married Susan Hayward Bennett (born 1869) around 1902. He died at his home in Chicago in 1940.
