Twenty-seven of the 53 photos appear to be stock photos of the W.H. Jackson Photo. Co., as suggested by production information printed in lower right-hand corner: "Copyright 1897. W.H. Jackson Photo. Co., Denver, Colo." Four or five are simply signed "W.H.J." Three are signed "C.A. Higgins", with the 18 remaining photos unsigned, perhaps taken by another member of the McNally party, or by McNally himself. (McNally (with fluffy white beard and bowler hat) and his grandson (boy in cap) appear in Jackson's photo of the travellers having lunch at Acoma (recto of leaf [9]), where a camera is visible lying in the foreground.).
