History of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company Auditor's Office
The auditor's office was responsible for maintaining the detailed financial accounts of the CB&Q, and collecting reports of expenses from the various departments and affiliated corporations. Expenses could include repairs, new building, rent, advertising, train service, station service, and fuel.
