Scope and Content of the Collection
Collections of correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs of three people related to the CB&Q but whose papers do not constitute part of the records of the company. The first two series are of the wife and daughter of CB&Q President C. E. Perkins, and contain personal information about the Perkins family as well as the business of the railroad. The last is the collection by the son-in-law of the originator of the CB&Q's railway mail service.

Collections of correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs of three people related to the CB&Q but whose papers do not constitute part of the records of the company. Includes papers of C.E. Perkins's wife Edith Forbes Perkins, his daughter Edith Perkins Cunningham, and William A. Davis, postmaster for St. Joseph, Missouri, supposedly the first to suggest Railway Mail Service as a replacement for the Pony Express. Forms part of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company Records.
