Two autographed letters and one 1913 program.

The material includes two items of correspondence from Stephen A. Douglas. The first is a letter from Douglas dated July 10, 1856. Although the writing is somewhat illegible, the dealer description notes that the autographed letter is addressed to P.G. Warrington (?) as a letter of introduction for F. Y. Wellose (?). The second letter is from Douglas to Ninan W. Edwards in Genesee, Illinois, dated August 11, 1859.

Also included is a program for the Douglas Natal Day Centennial Celebration, which was held in the Hall of Representatives on Wednesday April 23, 1913. The program is housed in a gray cloth pamphlet case.
