This series consists of photographs related to the Indigenous group referred to by Dean Worcester as “Bontoc Igorots,” but who are more accurately called the Bontoc people. “Igorot” is an exonym used to refer to the various ethnic groups who inhabit the mountains of northern Luzon, and is considered slightly pejorative. “Ifugao” is the endonym to refer to these groups as a whole.
