Prior to establishing an in house bindery, c.1894, the Newberry Library contracted out its binding to P. Ringer & Co. After 1895, all binding of books, periodicals, and other items was done in the Library.
Bound registers provide a day to day record of titles bound, type of binding used, and number of volumes.
