Mainly manuscript copies of poetry, stories and rough drafts of writing projects. Also, seven notebooks of original verse, nine copies of Poetry: A Magazine of Verse (1923-1928) containing published Tietjens poems, a few articles, music, and a small diary, 1913-1918.

Incoming correspondence is primarily from McIntosh & Otis, Inc., a manuscript service used by Tietjens, with a few letters from Edgar Lee Masters and Sara Teasdale. The miscellaneous material consists of drawings, clippings, an early scrapbook, sewing samples, picture cards of European opera singers, etc.
