The outgoing correspondence is primarily to friends and acquaintances, among them Witter Bynner and Margery Currey; her editor at MacMillan, James Putnam, concerning changes to her book The World at My Shoulder; and over 90 photostats of letters to Harriet Monroe copied from the Harriet Monroe Collection at the University of Chicago Library.
