Abstract Letters, documents, and photographs documenting the life of Chicago woman Lucile L. Nelson. Prominent in the collection is the series of letters to Lucile from her betrothed, Gail O. Woodman, who volunteered to fight in World War I in 1917. He was stationed at Camp Logan in Texas, after which he was sent to France, where he was injured by shrapnel blast and died in a London Hospital on Dec. 3, 1918.
