Abstract A preliminary inventory of photographs taken by Helen Balfour Morrison intended for a “Great Americans” series of portraits. The collection includes over 900 prints, with over 550 unique images. Individuals represent a wide range of professions including visual and performing artists, educators and academics, architects, journalist and literary writers, scientists, social activists, and business and government leaders.

Abstract Collection of 170 prints and manuscripts produced primarily in Europe between 1595 and 1878, the bulk of which were produced between 1650 and 1780. Most items were produced in London. The majority of items are portrait prints of writing masters and penmen, though there are also examples of writing samples, calligraphic art portraying religious scenes or theologians, as well as correspondence.

Abstract Ruth Levy, who performed as a dancer with the Pavley/Oukrainsky Junior Ballet, received a master’s degree in photography at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1972.
