Arrangement note

Organized by film negative numbers assigned by the Morrison-Shearer Foundation, with prints made from 35 mm negatives preceding those made from 4-by-5 negatives. It is possible that some of the prints without negatives, particularly those of white individuals, may not belong with this Kentucky sequence, and may not have been developed by Morrison in her darkroom.
