Hulling Rice - annotated on backside, "When rice is removed from the stalk by means of sticks or carabaos the hull still remains on the kernel. This is one method of removing the hull. Rice mills are established throughout the islands now but sticks etc still have to be used to separate the rice from the stalk." (#745), undated

Scope and Content of the Collection From the Collection: A collection of 155 photographic postcards and two photographs, roughly the same size as the postcards, printed on lighter photographic fiber paper (#10A and 11A). Photographs were possibly produced by photographer Samuel M. Shera.
